Here at Grey Oaks we stand our own studs to approved females. We also have visiting studs that come here for periods of time to stand to the public. If you are looking to breed your female, please contact us for an update on what males we may have available. If you have a male that you are interested in standing to the public, we also may be able to help you.
Grey Oaks takes great care and
pride in all that we do here. Through years of experience, accumulated
knowledge, and above all the love of the Labrador.
I would like to share a short and very sad story with you, out of our local paper and written by our local animal control officer, taken out of text. Upon arrival at the scene, I observed a large chocolate lab sitting on the end of the pier, keeping watch over his dead friend. After some trying moments I was able to snare the live animal, and take it to the back of my truck. Trying to get it in the carrier for transportation to the shelter. Try as hard as I might, I could not get him in, thinking perhaps he would get in the back of truck I abandoned the idea of the carrier, this also failed. He just wanted to go back to his friend. Securing him to the truck I decided to do what I should of done in the first place, retrieve the dead animal. I placed the body of his fallen friend on a blanket in the back of my truck. I then untied the chocolate lab and it immediately jumped into the back of my truck on it own, laid down and placed it head on the lifeless body of his friend. I gathered my equipment with tears in my eyes and headed for the shelter. If the human race had only one half of the the respect and love for one another wouldn't this be a wonderful world.
